Hillegass House

I moved into my new house in Berkeley last weekend with six other friends. My friend Sara and I are sharing a room and have had a blast decorating and painting it. It is looking great!
Housemates going to a sock hop themed party.
My side of the room.

My bed complete with bolsters and a quilt that I made.
Shelves from IKEA and a silkscreen print I made using fabric left over from the curtains.
My quilt I made using fabric scraps from various projects.

New Boots

Yesterday I bought some new boots! They are Tevas and very comfortable yet stylish. I love the button on the side. They are going to be perfect for winter weather and zipping around on my scooter!

1/4 Cup pecans

Muffins- Stir together.

1/2 Tsp salt
2/3 Cup "milk" (I use coconut milk or almond milk)

French Macaroons

This afternoon my mom and I tried a french macaroon recipe. We chose Martha Stewart's recipe and made cocoanut, raspberry, and chocolate cookies with vanilla, raspberry, and chocolate fillings. The raspberry cookies didn't turn out (too flat), but we still made some lovely combinations with the cocoanut and chocolate cookies. Yum!
