Anna Karenina
Over winter break I saw Anna Karenina, a movie I had been anticipating for months. I had waited too long to go see it and it was no longer playing in Santa Cruz, so my mom and I drove to a cute little theater in Monterey, which had beautiful desserts and warm drinks. And the movie was everything I hoped it would be and more! I was amazed at the spectacle of it and the creative way it took place inside a playhouse. Scenes transitioned with moving scenery and it all unfolded like a fantasy. The costumes were beautiful and the choreography for the ball scene is stunning. Keira Knightly was fantastic as the lead and so incredibly beautiful.
